Happy March! As we get ready to greet our first guests of March we wanted to address the ongoing concerns over travel relating to COVID-19. Cleanliness of the inn has always been a priority and now more than ever. We have always used the highest quality cleaners and will continue to do so with extra emphasis on all hard surfaces. We will be sanitizing any surface that you may come in contact with from light switches to remote controls. We will be using single use gloves when cleaning your room and they will be discarded after each room.
As for food prep did you know Bob has a ServSafe Certification issued by the National Restaurant Associations Solutions? This is a requirement by the Town of Provincetown and the Commonwealth in order to hold a food license. What does it all mean? Bob is well versed in food safety so you can feel secure when something comes out of the Somerset kitchen it will be safe. For returning guests you know we set breakfast up buffet style and we are working through some alternatives to the way we serve breakfast.
Guests should follow some very basic steps too. If you are sick, stay home. Washing hands under hot water (as hot as you can take) for at least 20 seconds is a must. Using hand sanitizer when available but please note this never takes the place of washing your hands. Avoid touching your face. Cover a sneeze or cough with a tissue.
Your safety is of the utmost importance to us and we are doing all we can to make the Somerset House Inn a safe haven for you. This is a fluid situation and things may change as we get more information. For the latest information check out Center for Disease Control at cdc.gov or World Health Organization at who.int.
Please don’t hesitate with any questions. Bob, Dan, Rob & Bizzo
